Sigma Nu Golf for Cancer

April 21st 2023, 10 AM EST, Ayden Country Club

Childhood Cancer is the leading cause of death for children between the ages of 4 and 14 in the United States. In partnership with The Children's Oncology Group (COG), the world's largest organization devoted to childhood and adolescent cancer research, this golf tournament is dedicated to to raising awareness and funding clinical trials that will impact pediatric patients and their families in Greenville, North Carolina. 


Our Vision

The uncertainty that cancer presents can take a toll on children and their families. Clinical research conducted by The Children's Oncology Group (COG)  has played a crucial role in transforming a terminal malignancy into a disease with an 80% five-year survival rate.  The Eta Beta Chapter of Sigma Nu has partnered with COG to raise money for clinical research trials taking place at the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina.  

Event Details

The tournament will begin as a shotgun start at 10 AM, Friday, April 21st at the Ayden Country Club located at 4343 Ayden Golf Club Rd Ayden, NC. The format of this tournament will be a scramble match with each team being allowed up to four players.  The price of the tournament will include range balls, a full round of golf, catered lunch, and possible prizes. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the longest putt challenge, closest to the pin challenge and the team with the lowest scramble score of the round.
